Activity
The work of the Association is aimed at developing of the processing and trading companies to facilitate the further development of the fish market. The creation of a common information space, support of open business partnership, and a high level of social and legal responsibility for the Association’s members means that efforts can be combined to attain the most important objectives as quickly as possible.
With good reason the creation of the Association was preceded by the Direct Customs Charter, which expressed the intention to go over to exporting without any reduction in the customs value, and was subsequently signed by its founders. The agreement of the largest Russian processing companies in the fishing industry to abandon the practice of reduced customs payments has not only benefited their image, but has also improved the sector’s general economic position.
The following are the Association’s main activities:
- Develops and promotes implementation of economic and social programmes;
- Represents and protects the common interests of the Association’s members before parliament, and governmental and judicial authorities, and also in relations with non-commercial organisations and businesses;
- Provides advice to its members;
- Organises varying forms of information exchange between members:
- Assists members in finding potential partners in the sales markets;
- Arranges and conducts conferences, meetings, seminars, symposia, exhibitions, presentations, training, auctions and other events to facilitate dissemination of professional knowledge and experience.
>> Further details of its activities are given in the Association’s Charter
